Graphics | Web | Branding

I am Sean Young, a graduate from Florida State University with a Bachelor in Studio Art and a minor in Entrepreneurship. I have been practicing Graphic Design since 2007. My focus area is in digital media and branding, but I also work with web design, acrylic/oil paintings, and other art practices. I am confident in my ability to adapt to any creative project. I tackle most challenges with deep contemplation, and take my time by initially creating a mental map of what I would like to implement into my designs. I understand complex ideas well and break them down into simple design aesthetics. The majority of my recent works have been event fliers, small business/firm logos and branding, and some music cover art. I would like to expand my work in web design, as well as design works for other artists, musicians, and small business start-ups. I have also collaborated with other artists and advertisement groups to develop projects for 3rd party clients.

My Graphic Design work is mainly freelance, but I have held several part-time office positions in the field; please see my LinkedIn account for my work history!

Logos & Branding

Never take for granted the power of a meaningful logo and a brand image. I make it my duty to capture the essence of a clients start-up organization, identify it's complexities by simplifying their brand, and exude the true quality of their product or service through meaningful representation.

For Logos and Branding, my design process usually starts with several sketches. Then I scan and import the best draft into Adobe illustrator, and make the magic happen. I frequently use Photoshop for any further embellishments.

Most of my Graphic Design work started with event flyers. I went from designing for the occasional student organization event, to flyers for parties, and finally for major events and community leaders.

I have had the opportunity to design album/cover art for independent artists, book covers for novelists, and event flyers for school board officials. I look forward to continue diversifying my artistic approach by aiding you with your creative needs.

Personal Works

Quite the Eclectic style, my personal works have strong elements of surrealism, geometric abstraction, and photo-collage techniques. I have plenty of other works that may intrigue you if you find these interesting.

I have also had the opportunity to work with ceramics, laser cutting and rapid prototyping equipment, CNC routers and more. I value the experiences I've had with various art disciplines, as it always provides me with a lesson or some insight that I can apply to all of my future work.
